1  What is the difference between the Ready Made and the Specially Made Wallpapers ?

Wallpaper designs in the Ready Made range are hand printed with pre exposed screens. They are printed in small batches and are kept in stock in our small factory in Yorkshire. Wallpapers in the Specially Made range are hand printed to order. We use hand cut stencils for the silk screen printing process. Specially Made wallpapers feature more hand printed and painted detail and therefore take longer to make.

2  Why do Wallpapers by Deborah Bowness come in drops, not rolls?

The majority of Deborah's wallpaper designs do not lend themselves to being printed on standard 10m (33') rolls. There is no repeat pattern or pattern match with Deborah's designs. Each design comes on wallpaper measuring 330cm (11') long and 56cm (22") wide. We call this a drop.

3  Are the wallpapers difficult to hang?

Wallpapers by Deborah Bowness are no more difficult to hang than standard wallpapers on a 10m (33') roll. If anything, Deborah's wallpaper is easier to hang, as there is no pattern match or repeat to consider. As well as general hanging instructions, we have produced downloadable guides for each of the wallpaper collections, which give specific guidance and ideas for hanging the wallpapers. These can be found in 'Information'.

4  Are Wallpapers by Deborah Bowness fire proof?

We are able to treat the wallpaper with an approved fire retardant, which makes the wallpapers fireproof to British Standard 5867-2:2008. There is a small additional charge for this service. 5  Are samples of the wallpaper available?

Yes. You will find all Deborah's designs in the Sample sections of our online shop. You can order and buy as many samples as you require here. The samples are (approx) A4 sized swatches of the wallpaper which give an indication of the paper texture, the print quality and hand printed colour.

6 Is it possible to buy the wallpaper designs in customised colours?

Yes. We can hand print any of Deborah's wallpaper designs in any colour of your choice. You can choose a colour from our pallet or you can supply us with a  reference to match to. Please bear in mind we mix our colours by hand and so there may a very slight difference in shade, but we won't be too far off! Also, the colour is hand printed over a grey digital print which changes the tone of the applied colour slightly. 7  Can Deborah Bowness design wallpaper specifically for me?

8  My ceiling is higher than 3.3m (11'). Can I order longer drops of wallpaper?

9  I have a space wider than 56cm (22"). Can i order a wide drop of wallpaper?
Some of Deborah's designs can be printed onto a wallpaper drop which is 80cm wide. The scale of print does not alter and where possible we will run the printed area to the widths of paper.
