  • An insight to a unique and experimental approach to wallpaper design. Beginning with an introduction to various silkscreen printing techniques including printing with paper stencils and an open screen, you will be guided the the process of designing and printing a drop of wallpaper. The workshop encourages exploration of individual creativity .

  • An introduction to print  for children. Techniques include mono print and silkscreen printing. Classes will give children the background skill and confidence they need to explore and discover their own unique artistic style in print. Whilst being encouraged to enjoy their creativity. They will learn about use of colour , composition and space.

  • Established in 2016 to facilitate the production of a unique collection of wallpapers. Like the wallpapers this is not a conventional print room it is the working studio of artist, designer and maker Deborah Bowness. Deborah has a reputation for creating haphazard experimental surface design which actively looks to avoid conventional techniques.

    The Print Room facilities are basic but adequate, however if you are looking to produce precisely registered and repeating CKMY silkscreen prints then this print room is probably not set up for your requirements.

  • Deborah Bowness MA (rca) BA (hons)

    Deborah has 19 years experience of exhibiting, designing and printing for commercial and residential interior projects. As well as 3 years teaching experience at Leeds College of Art Deborah has lecturered at Norwich school of Art, Northbrooke College and Manchester University. She has also provided mentoring through the Crafts Council Hothouse mentoring scheme.

  • The Print Room is located on the Ponswood Industrial Estate. 1.6 Miles from the seafront in central St Leoanrds and 1.4 miles from St Leonards Warrior Square Station.  It is a 10 minute drive, parking is free on Menzies Road or 35 minutes walk.
